Dr Ann's Experience and Qualifications:
- More than 27 years of experience in teaching and examining anatomy, physiology, cell biology, medical and health sciences, human biology, biomedical and clinical science at the secondary and university (undergraduate and postgraduate) levels.
- Extensive abilities in university teaching and secondary school tutoring with a proven track record of many of my high school and university students achieving academic and professional excellence. Many of my past students are now successful medical doctors, teachers and scientists nationally and internationally (references available).
- Awarded the Australian University Learning and Teaching National Award (Biological, Biomedical & Health Sciences) through the Australian Federal Government.
- Awarded the Australian University Teaching National Citation for the contributions and advancement of education in the Biological and Health Sciences.
- Awarded the Griffith University Individual Teacher of the Year Award across all faculties.
- Awarded more than five (5) University Faculty Citations in Teaching, Learning and Tutoring.
- In addition, I have been awarded more than ten (10) Faculty Dean's Commendations in Teaching and Learning.
- I was made a Fellow of the Griffith Academy of Learning and Teaching Scholars in 2011.
